OpinionProsecutor's statements to the jury resulted in a new trial after he stated plane tickets purchased by the defendant were "plane tickets that only a drug trafficker would have." The court stated: "The court concludes that the prosecutor in this case was not simply drawing inferences from the evidence, but was instead presenting evidence not of record for the jury's consideration. Under these circumstances, the court finds the statements in issue to be sufficiently prejudicial to warrant a new trial."
