OpinionThe government used all of its six peremptory challenges to allow for as many women on the jury panel than men. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals stated that more deeply inquiry was necessary and if conducted, would have revealed that "the prosecutor's gender-neutral explanations were pretexts for purposeful discrimination."
