OpinionEighth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the prosecution prejudiced the case during closing arguments by stating the defendant lost his job due to a failed drug test when, in fact, no such evidence existed. "During closing argument, an attorney's role is to assist the jury in analyzing, evaluating and applying the evidence. Arguments that transcend such boundaries are improper."
