OpinionCourt of Appeals criticized the prosecution for "serious misconduct" and a "deliberate violation" of the Sixth Amendment when it brought hearsay transcripts of government lawyers determining there was probable cause that the defendant was committing a crime in violation of the 7th Circuit's rule against such evidence. However, the overwhelming evidence against the defendant was such that the misconduct was ruled harmless error.
